So far so good!
I've been art-ing a lot this month, despite the increase in how busy I've been. I discovered these new pens/markers at Micheal's. They are pens filled with paint instead of ink - both oil and acrylic. I picked up a Sharpie oil set and two acrylic pens - one black, one white. The acrylic are a bit more expensive, strangely enough, but boy are they fun to paint with.
The coloring shown here in the sky and water are all done with cheap craft paints. They work well when I just want to be loose and have fun. The black and white were both done with the acrylic pen. I have three different pieces all in progress right now for the oil pens, but I'll post them up soon.
The painting is post-dated in order to be a Yule gift. Sure, it was completed today, but its not meant to be really seen until the 21st.
I've also got about a week left to prepare for Inktober. I'll finally be participating in one, after years of enjoying others. I'm still getting my ideas together and a few concepts written up. I consider this more pre-planning than cheating, as I wont be doing any of the actual art until the day of.
I'll have to write more about that later. For now, I've got to get back to work!
